I am voting for Kathleen G. Galen for 38th District Court Judge. Kathy has great experience as an attorney, and the temperament to be a fair and impartial judge.
The 38th District Court is one of the busiest District Courts in the State of Michigan. District Courts see everyday cases with everyday people. There are traffic violations, landlord-tenant issues, small claims, and more. There’s a staff of hardworking public servants who need an experienced leader, one who believes in common sense policy and works alongside them.
Kathy is currently an Assistant City Attorney in Warren, and has clerked for two Wayne County Circuit Court judges. She’s on the Warren Drug Court Board of Directors. With drug abuse being a huge health issue in our society, it will be an asset having a local judge with experience regarding this pressing priority. A caring judge can help reduce recidivism. And with her vast experience, she has had the opportunity to see the implementation and benefits of specialized efforts that District Courts can provide.
She has also been an active member outside the legal community, volunteering with the Eastpointe Rotary Club, as well as being their treasurer, and also as a member of Eastpointe’s Civil Service Commission.
I believe Kathleen G. Galen is the best candidate for the job. She will be a balanced, fair, and honest 38th District Court Judge. Please join me in voting for Kathy!
